Graha Nusantara


Description

Graha Nusantara area is located at the threshold of the Museum Bahari – Pasar Ikan and not in spite of the existence of the existing buildings and the cultural and social life of the community in the surrounding environment that is the heritage area of the Old City. Therefore, the design process begins with thinking about the concept of an integrated regional arrangement with the approach and the use of cultural heritage sites and the Concept of Environmental Preservation and Conservation.


The concept of regional arrangement is by connecting the centers of activity between historical sites juxtaposed to each other with a view to revive the spirit of maritime life in this region (Pasar Ikan – Kampung Luar Batang – Pelabuhan Sunda Kelapa Harbor - Kastil Batavia). Plaza and Promenade need to be created in many places with a view to invite visitors to enjoy the history of Indonesia on foot explore the historical sites in the region. Existing facilities are not ordered and not used again be restored and reorganized so that the existence of Graha Nusantara and other historic buildings will become a single unit that supports the ideals to generate maritime Indonesia, but it also does not kill the economy of the neighborhood that already exist even expected mapu enhancing the local community economy.


The purpose Graha Nusantara is as educational institutions with mental development and character of Indonesian youths and create Indonesia's young generation has a national awareness and love of the homeland (nationalist spirit).
